Home page status clean up issues

Hello all; I'm sure this has been addressed in this forum; but I'm having trouble locating the issues by searching.

On the Orion web interface, our Catalyst 5500's commonly show usage rates way above 100% on interfaces that have been recently activated. I'm assuming that they go down to 10Mb/s when they are inactive, then when someone fires up their PC, they go to 100Mb/s and the traffic gets skewed 10X. We have over 3000 ports like this and I'd like a global fix that would keep this from happening.

Also, I'd like a home/top 10 page that doesn't show a "blinking" yellow or red light in the lower right of each green node LED. We have many interfaces that go up/down during the day and would like to selectively enable/disable this feature so that we only see yellow/red on devices that we care about.

Any help is greatly appreciated in advance..

I have to agree the ability to turn off the blinking yellow or red would be great.
