Trying to find out if Wireless Network Monitor supports Motorola Canopy networks, and to what extent? I called the sales desk and was told "any 802.11 is supported", but couldn't get more than that.
Any ideas?
It all depends on which specific MIBs are supported in the device. Have you tried downloading the evaluation of the module and pointing it at your device?
The network is actually at a client site, so installing trial software there is probably out of the question. Are there any SW clients that are known to have Motorola Canopy networks? I just want to get an idea of the depth of information available on those networks.
Thanks
I know this is many years later, but just so that anyone else searching finds this there will be an answer.
Motorola's Canopy Network is not a standard 802.11 wireless network and as such SolarWinds does not treat it as a wireless device. You get interface stats for the wireless as well as the wired interface but that is it.
We have LOTS of Motorola Canopy APs/SMs deployed and they just show up as a regular node.
