Dear All,
I want to Create a NCM Job for All Cisco Switches that we are monitoring through Solarwinds which will login to the Cisco Switches and just implement a single command “ write “
The requirement I have is, every Cisco switch has two types of configuration ( startup, running). whenever there is configuration change is made in the Cisco Switch it goes in running config until we save the configuration using the write command. Once the config is saved then it goes in startup config. So that if the Switch reboots due to some reason it does not lose the configuration when it comes up.
In the past there were few incidents the switch configurations were not saved after making changes. So the switches lost the new config after the reboot.
If we have a NCM job that logs in to Switches and saves the config where the configs was not saved. ( not on all Switches only for switches where there was config change and it was not saved)
Hope I have clearly explained my requirement about the NCM job that we are in need of. I know the NCM does push the config on all switches periodically ( daily, weekly etc)
But we don’t want to push this command for all Switches but only for Switches where there is new change made and it was not saved by mistake or forgotten.
Regards,
Althaf
