Has anyone setup solarwinds to display on tv monitors. I can't find any documentation for this procedure. At my site they use vbrick for cable tv
get a video card that does HDMI.
I have a server that needs to be patched to a different building location on campus and display solarwinds to 5 TV monitors. HDMI card not a problem, I am asking how you configured server or desktop to display solarwinds (did you use a third party program to accomplish this)
no, that part is not a problem. The additional "screen" just shows up as "monitor" There are several HDMI over ethernet options out there for distance displays. Sounds like you'd want a matrix style switch that can give you the flexibility it sounds like you need.
Option #1 Mount a ThinPC running linux behind it and load Chrome with TabRevolver.
Option #2 If you want to push other information, look into Digital Signage
Thanks. I will look into that.
Is it a newer Samsung with built in browsing and wired/wireless Internet connectivity?
If so, get the monitor set up with an IP and allow it into your Solarwinds system (firewalls, etc). Use the built in browser to pull up Solarwinds. Set the user to a dedicated page and configure it to work with the monitor and the information you wish to present.
This will work for a status and non-interactive type of display. If you need interaction, then the thin client is the route to go.
Thanks. I just checked the tv's and they do not support wireless.
It looks like vBrick does support Digital Signage. I am not familiar with thier product(s), but I would open a ticket with them to discuss optiions to pull a webpage into your environment.
We are doing this with another digital sign product. Our displays dont support wireless. But, we use PC on a stick. A small form fully functional PC that is powered by USB. They make cheap android ones or you can buy an intel one like we did. Great little devices!
I would suggest reading this page if you do go that route. Open view in NOC mode on startup. Auto login.
Good luck!
Connect PC to Tv.
Setup your view to auto rotate between tabs on the "edit view" screen:
Then, setup a PC that auto launches a browser whose homepage is set to that NOC view. Tip: You can add the view ID and login credentials to your URL like this:
orion/.../SummaryView.aspx?ViewID=64&isNOCView=true&AccountID=noc&Password=mypassword
This is another good thread...
Display Solarwinds on Samsung TV
Particularly Jphilopeana's comment.. this was aimed at a Samsung TV so ignore that if its not your one.

I think one can also go with free apps like BeeTV to watch all latest movies and shows for free.
Here's what I have done for a NOC TV in my office. Repurposed an older Sharpe 50" TV (wall mount):
I have SolarWinds, our security intelligence platform and SD-WAN dashboards rotating on the TV.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
(Edit: yikes, just realized I replied to a 7 year old question.)
BeeTV app is best so now we need to try astoncine or cucotv
