Yann, is correct. However, as he noted, we'd be happy to work with you on creating a template. If the Huawei devices provide a CLI and store text-based configs, it is highly likely that we can support them with minimal effort.

If you can post the exact series of commands that must be entered (from SSH or Telnet) to login to the Huawei device and show the running and startup configs, we can get started on the template.

For example, for a Cisco IOS devices the series of commands would be:

Telnet to device
Receive prompt: Username:
Enter: username
Receive prompt: Password:
Enter: password
Receive prompt: loggedinprompt>
Enter: enable
Receive prompt: Password:
Enter: enable password
Receive prompt: enableprompt#
To reset screen, enter: terminal width 0
To set paging, enter: terminal length 0
To display running config, enter: show running
To display startup config, enter: show startup

Hi,

There is no device default template for Huawei devices in NCM, so I am not sure if NCM will be able to retrieve a configuration from a such device. I did not find anything in the content exchange zone either.

Do you have an eval or a full version of NCM installed and a Huawei device available to try to download the configuration from it?

If yes, then I can guide you to create the Device Template that NCM use to know which commands to send. Not sure if we will be successful, but it is worth to try.

Concerning the Juniper NetScreen models, a Device Template is automatically installed with NCM, so you should not have any issues downloading from that type of equipment.
