Timeouts gathering configurations via SSH

When gathering configurations from some Cisco 1200 series wireless access points, I notice that sometimes NCM will fail to download the configuration. The devices are up and running and there isn't any issue at the IP layer, but I'm thinking that sometimes they may be slow to respond to the SSH login and requests that NCM fails to download the configuration and throws an error for that device.

Is there a way to increase the device or login response time so that this doesn't happen? It's very sporadic as 90% of the time the configuration is downloaded correctly, just occasionally it fails to download the config.
