Application "unknown" status??

I have a node that has an application monitor where the Windows Service Monitors return this message when I try to test them: "The remote procedure call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BE)" but in the same application monitor the performance monitors just time out. I can sign in using my monitoring credentials and I have validated the service names and I can look at the performance monitors on the local box so I know they are working. This is the only application monitor I have that is doing this. Can someone give me enlightenment on what I am looking for?

Are you using WMI or RPC for the monitor?

You can edit the application monitor, expand advanced, and enable debugging. Look at the end of the URL and you will see something likr: NetObject=AA:1. The number is the application ID. On the poller the the node exist, go to the C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\APM\ApplicationLogs directory, and look for the AppID folder that matches your URL. Please note the C:\ProgramData\ folder is hidden by default.
