Blackberry Delivery Confirmation

I am trying to get the Blackberry Delivery Confirmation script working and am falling at the last hurdle.

I have configured the script and an email is being sent from my mailbox going to another users blackberry, the email is coming back and in my inbox I am getting the receipt.

The bit that is not working is the script checking my inbox to see if the mail has come in

It fails with a mapi logon error

So the script is running with my credentials so should have access to my mailbox?

Has anyone else got this working and can advise on what account they are using where and what permissions they need.

A few things I would recommend checking from the Administrators Guide section regarding the Blackberry Delivery Confirmation template.

MAPI Client and CDO Objects installed on SolarWinds APM server.
Ensure you can connect to the Exchange server using the MAPI User Experience Monitor.
In the script body see the line <const ExchangeServer = "exchange.example.com"> and replace exchange.example.com with the IP address of the Microsoft Exchange server hosting the Exchange mailbox.
Ensure the credentials used as part of the Blackberry Delivery Confirmation component monitor include the domain name in the username (domain\username).

Just one more note, I have tried to fire this script from the server directly

The email fires ok, goes to the blackberry, comes back to my inbox.

Then I get an ActiveX error

#Error: ActiveX component can't create object

The, unbale to create MAPI Session

It is running on Windows Server 2008 R2 - 64bit

The email is sent via SMTP. Retrieving the email delivery confirmation receipt is done using MAPI. This is why I recommended you verify that you can connect to that mailbox using the MAPI User Experience monitor, and that you have either the CDO, or Microsoft Outlook installed on the APM server.

OK I have finally got this working now. The main reason is I applied the app template to the BES server and not a mail server, also was pointing the script to the wrong ip for exchange. We have a large clustered environment and just needed to know the right node.

So it is now working and an email gets sent every ten minutes from Orion to a test blackberry it replies back and gives me a big green light.

If I turn off the blackberry I get an alert to say blackberry service is down - Sweet!

One question for anyone?

What does the statistic field indicate on the application monitor?

I am hoping it is round trip time in seconds? If anyone can confirm and how to make it say round trip time instead of Statistic?
