unused interfaces

We have Interfaces in our Network that are is a down state because they are
not currently being used,
We would like to leave these in that database however for future use.
Is there a way to disable these nodes with out removing them so that
they are not sitting in alarm.

You can right click on the Node-> Node Details and select Unmanage.

You can put any node into an Un-Managed state which should solve the problem of being alerted that the node is down. Also, if you Administratively Shutdown any interface this will also prevent you from being alerted to the interfaces up/down status.

If I unmanage the Node it will stop polling the Node all together. There are in some cases many interfaces under that Node and on 2 of which may be down, is there a way to simply unmanage these interfaces with out Administratively shutting them down?
