Alert trigger time - variable

Hi Thwackers and SW

i raised this some years ago, and i suspect it has not been looked at since... however,. just in case i have missed a new feature, here i am again

i have a requirement where some devices need to be alerted on within 5 minutes, some 10 minutes, and some 40 mins etc... to avoid having potentially unlimited numbers of each alert type to meet this need, we to be able to have a variable (custom property) that would define the time-to-alert. hat variable would be placed in the Alert-trigger-time box on the alert trigger tab.. and we would be sorted.

Discuss… solve for me… tell me it is already solved J

If you set the polling time for each node same as your requirement, this should help?

hi there, unfortunately it would not... it would man that a single poll-positive would trigger, but the time-to-trigger variable is to allow you to ensure alerts are real, and not blips...

good thinking though
