I see posting on how to configure Solarwinds to monitor and alert for 60/90 days before a Cert expires, but where/how do you actually see how many days are remaining? I can't just "Trust" that Solarwinds is going to notify me.

When you assign that template to a node it will pull the cert and display the days remaining as a statistic value, on the default views its about halfway down the right column. Here's a screenshot from my lab

Hello,
When I was first setting up the Cert monitors I had the same reservations as you...but "mesverrum" provided a great screenshot of what you'll see. You will also see the monitor on your main panel show as yellow and then red when your cert is about to expire, assuming you have the application tree showing. My cert monitor also sends emails at 30 and 15 days out as a reminder. I've also setup an automated report to run every month for any cert that will expire in the next 30 days...this report is then automatically emailed to me and our Helpdesk to create a ticket for us to review.
Before I set this up, we would get tickets all the time that "xyz" cert expired and customers were complaining...since I put this monitor in place we've managed to prevent this from happening...obviously if someone adds a site and doesn't tell me we could run into this issue, but right now...it's working really well.
Hope this helps...
Can you post the code of the report please. I could use something like that. Thanks Jeff
I used report writer to create it and then just scheduled it out.....I would imagine there might be a better / different way to do it, but it works fine.
