seperate server for polling

does orion have a feature where i can deploy a seperate server for polling devices, that then relay's it's info to a central server?

as currently i have everything (ex sql database) on one box

plus i have some networks firewalled off and be ideal to have sever in that network, that can then collect stats and relay that into back to my main server?

is this possible?

Solarwinds has additional polling engine licenses you can purchase to allow you to have multiple polling engines.

so if i have multiple polling engines i have to buy the enterpise operations console?

No. The Enterprise Operations Console is only if you deploy multiple full versions of Orion. For every Orion environment, you have a primary Orion server. For a one server installation, that primary Orion server is the polling engine as well as the web server for Orion. If you purchase an additional polling engine license, the nodes on that additional poller will be part of the overall inventory of nodes that show up on the Orion web site. If you were to purchase to seperate copies of Orion, say an SLX license and then a SL500 license, you would have two seperate installations with two primary Orion servers with their own individual web sites. The nodes on the SLX installation would not be seen on the web site on the SL500 server's web site. In order to roll those two seperate installations up into a single web console, you would need to use the Enterprise Operations Console.
