Restarting Orion polling engine.

My NCM is showing alot of devices with a status of "Monitoring Disabled". I found a hit on this problem that suggests that I "Restart Orion NCM Polling engine". How do I do this? I do not see anything in admin guide for this... I did not want to assume it means to 'restart ALL orion services'. (I'm running NCM 5.5.2).

Look in your server's services and there should be an entry for "SolarWinds Orion NCM Polling Service". Stop & restart that service.

I have tried the above and NCM is still showing the "Monitoring Disabled" icon for all devices? is there anything that i might be missing?

dumb question but did you even activate the monitoring for NCM for those nodes?

I see that monitoring is disabled for all nodes because I decided not to monitor them within NCM but instead monitor them with NPM
