monitored node with two network interface cards with sam agent

I am monitoring nodes that have multiple NICs in them. One connecting to where the remote poller is and one out to the general network. We install the agent and SAM picks it up but as the IP of the default interface not the one connected to the poller. So when I try to do anything that is not related to the agent (i.e. JMX) it fails saying it cannot connect, because it cant. So if I can get SAM to identify the host as the poller-facing interface this should be solved.

You can change the IP address associated with the node by editing the node properties and clicking "Select IP" and choosing the primary IP address associated with that node.
