Is there a way in NCM to set the retention period so that all older files are automatically deleted ?

Hi,

Yes, that's exactly the way -- there are two jobs:

Database and Archive Maintenance and
Purge Configs

Make sure to configure both of them properly in order to keep your NCM in a good shape.
