I have an Orion setup with one server running NPM, APM and SQL. I have a second polling engine aswell only with NPM installed.
When you add an APM poller to an object which server runs that apm poll.?

The one that hosts the APM installation in your case.
You might want to read the "Understanding How Pollers Work" section in the administration guide at the page 66-68 of the pdf for an explanation about the other possible scenarios.
