WMI Access is Denied

I understand this is a well-discussed topic.

I am using a Domain Admin account to try to establish WMI communications. Within Orion APM, I get an "Unable to connect to server" error. Using the WBEMTEST utility, I get an "Access is Denied". All of the troubleshooting material suggests I look at credentials (moot, I'm using a Domain Admin account), establish that WMI is running (I can browse the WMI classes locally on the target servers), or look at firewalls (I have no firewall running).

This problem exists on the half-dozen servers I've tried to talk with. I do have Symantec Endpoint Protection installed on the servers, but the firewall component is NOT installed, just the Threat Protection.

Any suggestions?

Hi Jason,

have you tried to disable Symantec Endpoint Protection temporarily and run wbemtest remotely to make sure it's unrelated to SEP?
