Grouping multiple interfaces together as a single interface

Just a suggestion for a future feature:

It would be nice if we could take multiple links and combine them together so their stats show up as a single link within solarwinds. This would be great for trunk links between switches and multiple links to servers/blade chassis. Would be a lot easier to monitor the bandwidth if we could quickly see what the overall trunk usage is across all ports.

FYI. We are working on some new ways to group objects--not just interfaces--within Orion. It's taking a little while, but when it's done, it should prove a powerful addition to allow you to do the sort of thing you're looking at. More than that I can't say just yet.

Hi HBrandNSB,

You may want to take a look at this thread: In it, there is a custom resource that lists all the interfaces on a single device. It might do some of what you need.

If you need basic help with it, let me know.
