Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to configure Orion to alert when x number of nodes go down within xx time period?
ie; 30 nodes down within 5 mins, then send alert?
Thanks
Craig
Almost 4 years after, someone have a comment about this?
I wanna configure exactly the same request. I want to generate an sound alert when 5 or more nodes down on 3 minutes period.
I have a query to configure that request, but I don't know how apply it to Advanced Alert Application.
Select *From ( Select year_, month_, day_, hora, -- Multiple minutes per 3 to give the period of time (Minutos+1)*3 as Minutos, count(EventID) as Eventos From ( --- Separate the time in YYYY,MM,DD,HH,mm(3 minutes ranges) Select Datepart(year,(EventTime)) as year_, Datepart(month,(EventTime)) as month_, Datepart(day,(EventTime)) as day_, Datepart(hour,(EventTime)) as hora, (Datepart(minute,(EventTime))/3) as minutos, EventTime, EventID, NetworkNode, NetObjectID, EventType, Message From Events Where -- Just when event is Down EventType = 1 -- On specific period of time and Datediff(minute,EventTime,getdate()) < 600 ) as Eventos_1 Group By year_, month_, day_, hora, minutos ) as Eventos_2-- The events must be more than 5 in 3 minutesWhere Eventos >= 5Order By year_ desc, month_ desc, day_ desc, hora desc, minutos desc
Someone can help me?

Hi Daniel--
Here is just a general instruction on Advanced Alerts on Multiple Node Outage and Different ways of composing a "Node down" alert trigger.
Hopefully this will help get you started. Also, check out the Alert Lab forum. You might find some helpful content in there as well.
