HTTP/HTTPS Monitors reporting down

I am observing lots of Downs for HTTP & HTTPS monitors.

The error I am seeing is "Response message formatted incorrectly, receive failed. The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive."

Did somebody else have received this error - what are the steps to be followed to resolve it.

I did log a support case # 1118917 - its been more than a month now, and support is unable to resolve the issue yet.

my environment is as below:

Orion Platform 2016.2.100, QoE 2.2.0, SAM 6.3.0, WPM 2.2.1, NPM 12.0.1, IPAM 4.3.2, NTA 4.2.1, IVIM 2.1.2, DPA 10.2.0, NCM 7.5.1, NetPath 1.0.1

I already did a search to find the solution for the errors I am getting on the HTTPS monitors - nothing has helped yet.

If anyone had encountered the same error on HTTPS monitors - what are the resolution steps been carried. I already have a support case open, but support has no clue on what is going on - its very weird though.

The urls being monitored are the ADFS redirect sites - did anyone encounter the similar issues for HTTP or HTTPS components?
Also, upon checking with Support whether WPM supports the ADFS redirect sites - the answer I get is a "NO".

Hi, Not a direct answer to your issue, but have you considered upgrading to the latest release to make sure it's not a bug in your software. 12.2 is the latest, and 12.1 is the best possible with Windows Server 2008. I would recommend being at the latest possible release at least this will help SolarWinds support I would suspect.

Has anybody found a resolution to this issue? I am having the same problems except we are on the latest release! 2018.2 and SAM 6.7 on Server 2012 R2
