Local Admin account to monitor with APM

I am a new-bee here. We are trying to get SW off the ground but have found that I neeed local admin rights - I will niot be able to get that athority from thee server admins. We were able to get some of the non-services monitored once we get to services of an app wee get access denied.

Ha anyone gotten passed this are you able to monitor services ?

Depending on what and how you're trying to monitor you may be able to get away with just SNMP. This doesn't require any special administrative permissions to the host. Just a simple community string and you can monitor processes running on the host.

Unfortunately due to the secure nature of the Windows operating system, elevated privileges are required for remote management and monitoring. These permissions can be overridden in some instances with specific permissions as the example in the post above demonstrates. We recommend instead to use a dedicated service account for the sole purpose of monitoring. This can be a local or domain administrator account that is separate from the default built-in administrator accounts.
