Unix command output

I am trying to handle the linux command to monitor one of our Linux based host statics where i have to run one command which will return with an output of 5 to 6 values. If some of the specific values shows greater than or equal to 1 then my application status should go down.

Is there any way we can use VBscript or Perl Scrip to do this?
