Importing data?

I have a few weeks till the equipment is here to get Orion v7 up and running, but I was wondering if it supports importing of data via csv, text, excel?

You can import your custom properties via a CSV document...but that's about it. Nodelists either need to be entered manually, or if you have some time, a network sonar file (from the toolkits) is your only real option.

Has anyone had any luck importing direct to the Database; I would guess that you will need to restart the polling Engine if you do but there are times that I would accept that with the amount of data I need to add

As for custom data we change that all the time on the fly from outside Orion mostly to allow remore site to set a custom unmanage flag. this does two jobs one takes it out of their alert list and second puts it in a q for the NOC to formaly Un-manage within orion.
