Creating a report comparing Running Config versus Starting Config.

I see where Solarwinds compares the Running Config to the Startup config. I cannot, however, see a way to export the results. I saw a couple articles stating to run a job to compare and send yourself an email with the results. This is not working for me. I basically got 9 emails chock full of configs and it was all garbage to me. I also looked into the report writer but could not find a template for Config Manager.

I need to provide our Service Provider a copy of this so they can investigate why their running configs are not matching the start up.

There is a "Export to PDF" link in the upper right hand corner of the Compare Node Configs window.

to follow up even farther..once you have downloaded both configs you want to compare (running, and startup), you can click on one directly and then choose to compare another. this will open a compare window that will highlight the differences accordingly:

then of which, you can "Export to PDF" just as I've described above as well.

I appreciate your answers. I was aware of both options and I see where there are differences. I am seeing over 2100+ devicess with a difference so exporting to PDF will not work.

I get a compare email as part of my weekly config backups. At 1am I backup all the Startup configs. At 2am I backup all the Running configs. As part of this backup Running configs job, I get it to compare the running config to the startup config. So once it completes backing up all my Running configs, I get another email that just lists all the configs where the startup and running config don't match.
