Extending inventory collection

Question

Is there any documentation available on how/if one can extend the inventory collection files in C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Inventory

Many of the devices on expose their software version numbers in some part of their private MIB; I would like to be able to collect this information in the inventory.

e.g. some of our

D-Links :  iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.rnd.rndDeviceParams.rndBrgVersion

SMC: 1.2.3.1.4.1.202.20.33.1.1.3.1.4.1

I don't want to use a device poller to gather this information because it changes very slowly.

Hi,

NCM inventory reports are currently not in a state that allows user extensions. You can post a feature request for this functionality if you want.
