Unable to get hardware stats.
The node status displays :Node is Up.Overall Hardware Status 'Overall Hardware Status' has state: Could Not Poll.
Server OS windows 2k8r2 sp1
we use SNMP query.
Can someone please suggest.
Thanks.
Have you verified that SNMP is polling correctly? Also, verify the OID you are using. I am not super familiar with the Proliant line.
I would recommend restarting the SNMP Service on the monitored server. If that doesn't resolve the issue, upgrading the the latest version of the HP Insight Manager Agent usually solves this problem. It's more a matter of re-registering DLL's that fixes the issue, but this usually only occurs after an upgrade or a complete uninstall and re-install of the SIM agent.
Yes SNMP polling correctly and also verified OID
Updated HP Insight Manager Agent but error remains.
How did you verify the OID, and which OID did you verify? Another option you may want to consider is changing the node polling method from SNMP to WMI.
Are you using SAM ?
if so, is port 5989 to the ESX host is open ? try that ...
have you visit the Solarwinds Troubleshooting ESX Hardware Monitoring help page ?
We are seeing the same issue. The server will be reporting fine for awhile, then we start seeing the error ". Once we reboot the server, everything is reporting fine again. There has to be a fix without rebooting. We tried to restart SNMP service, but no luck.
