Clarifying Application/Monitor Dependencies

I believe that there is an implicit dependency on monitors and applications so that if an app goes down the monitors all become "Unreachable". We have several external nodes with apps made of HTTP monitors. When one monitored URL fails the app transitions to down status. If the implicit dependency is as I have described that means that if one URL fails all of the other URLs will not trigger an alert if they fail. Seeing as SAM does not have the concept of a mixed app status, we are stuck unless we create a new app for each url.

Am I missing something here?

Applications are simply containers for a collection of individual component monitors. There is no dependency relationship (implicit or explicit) between components and applications. Applications have an implicit dependency on Nodes, such that if a node goes "down" any applications monitored on that node (and the components contained therein) will go into an "unreachable" status.
