Solarwinds NCM Job Issue

Hi Guys,

we are using NCM 7.7 with 1 APE & in HA environment. When we are running on HA of Additional poller NCM schduled jobs does not run properly taking lots of time even full day, while we are able to take backup of devices at that time.

Have you put in a support ticket? One thing we have seen cause this issue is port exhaustion.

You have more devices being monitored than a single poller can support

If NCM jobs are not running as scheduled or on command, you can try these resolutions found on this guide https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Configuration_Manager_(NCM)/Knowledgebase_Articles/Jobs_are_not_running_as_scheduled_or_on_command:

Disable Windows UAC and reboot the affected server.

Do the following steps if the above resolution does not work:

Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features and open Orion Service Manager.
Select Shutdown All Services.
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (or Programs and Features in Server 2008.
Right click and uninstall the following applications:
SolarWinds Collector Service
SolarWinds Information Service
SolarWinds Job Engine v1
SolarWinds Job Engine v2
Note: If UAC is enabled or the reinstallation fails for Job Engine v1, open CMD as an administrator and change the directory to the installation path of Job Engine v1 and then launch the installer. This will get you past the UAC block.
Once uninstalled, go to:
Windows 2003
C:\Documents and settings\all Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Installers.
Windows 2008/2012
C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers
Note: These folders are hidden by default.
Run and install the following:
CollectorInstaller.msi
JobEngine.msi
JobEngine.v2.msi
InformationService.msi
Restart the services.
