APM Objects viewable on Network Map and on the NPM Homepage

Hi

 

Im building a new NPM/APM whizzbang for a new monitoring requirement, and would like to view any APM application warnings or errors on the NPM Home Summary Page or have them in the Network Map view. Currently we have a vbs script that flips between windows so that we can monitor the status on NPM and APM on the same plasma, but the managers want 1 view that gives an overview of both products.

Hi Nic,

If you log as an administrator on the web console and edit the Network Summary Home view, you should be able to add one of the following resources to display some info related to APM:

All Applications Tree
Last 25 Application Events
Application Health Overview
Applications by Current Status
Down Applications
Getting Started with APM
Thwack Community: Latest Application Monitor Templates
Top XX Processes by CPU Load
Top XX Processes by Physical Memory
Top XX Components by Response Time
Top XX Processes by Virtual Memory

Map Maker does not allow you to add APM objects for the moment.

TIP: there is an edit link at the top right of your view beside the datetime which redirects you to the view settings.
