Active Alerts - Component Down

Hi all,

Have noticed that on the alerts page with SAM (v 6.2.3), that it does not give us the option to show "Alert me when a component goes down"

As this is an out of the box alert we are unable to edit it, therefore I thought of creating a duplicate one. But how would I go about getting the alerts to show within the All Active Alerts? I had a few components go down today but not noticed any of them drop into this area.

Their must first be an active alert for that alert definition. EIther there are no active alerts for this definition because all components are in a good state, or the default out-of-the-box 'Alert me when a component goes down' alert definition has been deleted, disabled, or modified in such a way which rendered it inoperable.

Your view is filtered only to alerts that are actively triggered. To see the full list of all configured alerts go to [Settings -> Manage Alerts].

Bit lost now as I have gone to Settings - Manage Alerts and obviously I see the Alert Manager and Action Manager tab. I cannot understand how I am able to filter the view?

How can I see Component down alerts appaer in Active Alerts?

So it looks like in your screen post that you have gone to the Alerts selection off of the Home menu bar and that will show you what the current active alerts are... if you are not seeing a component down alert there then as aLTeReGo has pointed out you either don't have a component down at the time or it is not enabled.. to double check that go to Settings in the Upper Right corner and then Manage Alerts and you should see "Alert me when a component goes down".. if it is not enabled then that answers the question...
