NCM login via Orion NPM and necessary permissions

We have Orion NCM integrated with our Orion NPM system so users access the NCM web interface through the NPM with the module link above.

What I have found is that with new users they are unable to initially login to the NCM through NPM unless they have the "Allow Account to Customize Views" set to "Yes" in Orion NPM.

I am curious if there is any way to get around having to give these users the Customize Views permissions but still allow them to initially log into the NCM via the Orion NPM?

I checked with dev and unfortunately there is no workaround. However, once users have logged in the first time to NCM through the Orion NPM website, the credentials are securely cached. At this point, you can disable the customize view option for the user.

Any suggestions, information, or tips on this would be very helpful.

As we are going through the implementation process for both Orion NPM and NCM, having to give all of my NCM users Customize Views Permissions access is a bit annoying because then they will want to customize views not realizing it changes that view for everybody.
