I'm looking for a brief tutorial how create "Monitored Applications" in Node Name 's page like below, and

how enable an email alert if sqlserver is down.

Hi schwarzkopf,

I am not sure I understand the first part of your question. You may want to take a look at the APM evaluation guide. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/apm/Docs/translations/EGs/US/OrionAPMEvaluationGuide.pdf

As for the alert, by default we have alerts for applications that are down, you can modify it using the Advanced Alert Manager in the Solarwinds Orion Program group on your server. From there you can configure alerts, modify the alert for when an application goes down, add a new action, select send an e-mail, and fill in the necessary fields for the e-mail.

Application Performance Monitor (and) Application Monitor

My question: How I create and put a specified application in this module (application Monitor module)?
