Hi All,
We have faced SolarWinds agent CPU utilization issue after upgrading our SolarWinds application to Orion Platform 2019.2.
In some servers it is consuming 100% CPU.
Does anyone faced the same issue after upgrade?
Best Regards,
Further update on this issue:
The root cause of this issue : when all windows agents were upgraded there was inaccessible folder was created(Folder name was like GUID )
Find below screenshot:
Folder inaccessible:
Same was seen in Cortex log that :
As per support, there is a problem with the Cortex startup process on the agent:"System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Agent\Plugins\c2b73cd1-eeb1-45d0-b964-2e5ec59641a6' is denied." Because of that, the Cortex is continually restarting itself.
Workaround: Uninstalled the agent and changed the installation directory from System to non-system drive. In our case there are around 100 agent based server so this option worked for us.
Lots of different articles on this one...

Additionally Solarwinds vendor has informed us as :
"this is bug in product. cortex is having problems with starting because of that inaccessible folder being present in the Agent folder resulting in constant restarts and thus a high consumption of system resources.Developers are still working on this, as soon they resolve the bug it will be included in the future release of Orion."
