Advance Alert Link ${Status} issue.

Why does advance alert service assign a number (ie 1 for up, 2 for down, etc.) when an interface status alert gets triggered? Is there a way to get an interface alert statues that is understandable by a human being just like an output from basic alerts? Or is there a workaround to this?

That's currently not working as an advanced alert in V8 at this time. You can only get it to work like it should as a basic alert.

I am facing a problem regarding the Advance alert .

Situation:

Think I have 2 link between my CO and remote site.I want to genarate an alert when any one of the link goes down.So I wrote down a alert as

Alert if not all are apply

interface status down

interface status up

interface caption .............Primary

interface caption ............Secondary

but this does not work

could you help me

I would recommend that you avoid "not all".
