Critical Apps status list

Question

I am trying to find a way to show on what we call an "Executive Summary" page the status of our top 5 applications but from a very high level.

So what i have already done is make 5 groups such as Exchange, App1, App2, App3, and App4. Then within each of those groups they have all the devices, transactions and monitors  which make up that Application so the status will bubble up.

Now the part i can't figure is how to make a list showing the status of just these 5 groups. Nothing seems to give me the option to display a selected list of groups. I see that a Custom Query may be able to do the trick but i am unfamiliar with SWQLand syntax.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you considered creating a custom group summary page with a view limitation based on Group Name Pattern or other similar group based view limitation?
