Average percent Memory used

I have a chart that displays the "average percent Memory used" for several Cisco ASAs

The figures are not 100% true when looking at the actual memory used on my Cisco devices.

I understand that it won’t be accurate, as it only polls every 5 minutes.

I was just wondering how is the average memory utilization calculated for a device?

Is there some sort of metric used?
