WMI Timeout Issue

I having an issue with my apm where the wmi process monitors are timing out at the default of 300 seconds. As a result over the last weekend i ended up with 700+ emails. When i contacted SW about this they indicated it was a timeout issue and to increase my timeout otherwise there was nothing they could do. I have since doubled the timeout to 600 seconds but feel this is too long. Has anyone else experinced this. Also when i run the wbemtest on my destination servers from my solarwinds server and i enum. It only gives back around 69 items while when running it locally it responds around 800 items is this normal as well ?

i had looked through that but i will try it again.

I tried the wmi steps on one of the servers (it happens on them all, but not at the same time)

both the remote and local wbemtest program worked fine.

I have set my polling interval to 70 seconds and the timeout to 300. Is there anything i am missing ?

It's difficult to determine exactly. You might be best off submitting a support ticket to help pinpoint why the WMI service on the server is getting overloaded.

i already did this. They told me that i should try increasing the timeout. if that didn't fix it then there was nothing else they could do. This seems to be an on again off again issue i have had ever since i upgraded from apm 1.0 sp4 to apm 2.0.
