Updated Templates - how do we know?

Got a silly question.  Once in a while I will see on thwack that a revision was made to a template or at least to the thwack page that holds the template.

So two questions - how do we know what the changes are - I've tried using the revision tools on thwack but it never shows the changes.  Second question - how can we tell in SAM if the template we are using is the latest or if an upgrade is available?

Very confusing so I hope I am just overlooking the way to do it.

Templates are updated on Thwack normally to address issues reported by other customers. If you aren't experiencing any issues with your Application Templates, my recommendation would be to not update your template at all, as the act of doing so will cause you to lose all historical data pertaining to that application for any node that template was previously assigned.

The absolute latest version of any Application Template is always available here on Thwack within the Content Exchange. You can follow any specific template on Thwack, or the entire SAM Content Exchange and be email notified when new application templates are posted, or when existing ones have been updated.
