can APM monitor changes to the DOMAIN CONTROLLER's SYSVOL for Group Policies changes/replications

i need to monitor our SYSVOL on our four domain controllers. is there any way of doing this with APM?

i need to monitor for when the SIZE and TIMESTAMP changes for this folder. for example:

\\servername\sysvol\mydomain.com\Policies

i don't see exactly what i think i need in the CONTENT EXCHANGE area, unless i'm missing it.

i saw something for FOLDER monitoring but it is cryptic and uses a lot of vbscript, which i prefer not to use.

Hello lchance,
for folder size monitor there is "Directory size monitor" but it can't alert you on size change, it can alert only if size is over or under some limit.
Then there is "File Change Monitor". If you have some file in that folder that is always there and it's change is something you want to alert on, you can use this monitor.

But if you really need to alert on FOLDER size and timestamp change, you will have to use some custom script.

I'm using a script within an APM TEMPLATE. Something I found on the Shared Content site.

Notice this script works for a non-Domain Controller server (it does what I need) but yet it fails with 'Permission Denied' on what is an actual Domain Controller server.

Any idea why?

I've tried it numerous ways, such as: \\server\sysvol\mydomain.com\Policies and \\server\C$\sysvol\mydomain.com\Policies

and anything else I could come up with but each time it fails.
