Node Details needs to add SSH to the menu and get rid of HTTP

SolarWinds needs to get on the ball with this. I don't of anyone today using telnet anymore on their R&S. But can SSH be added to the menu with a custom feature to associate it to a program such as Putty or Tera Term? It makes a lot easier not having to open up program after program.

I agree, they should change telnet to SSH, however I can understand why they might not have done it yet.  Depending on which SSH client you use, it may not build the correct registry settings automatically which would associate "ssh://" with (for example) putty.exe.

However, in the mean time you have to methods to do exactly what you're asking with the tools SolarWinds already gives you out of the box.

1) When provisioning a user, you can set "Allow Browser Integration" to YES.

This gets you a set of tools at the top-right of the Node Details view:

2) If you don't need the "http://....." in Node Details, you can manually change it to "ssh://......".  Scroll down past the "NOTES" section and you'll see the "Web Browser Template" configuration when you Edit a Node:

For example, if the management IP of the device is 10.0.0.1, change that to "ssh://10.0.0.1".
