Network maps show as gray boxes in web page

Question

I am creating new maps in Map Maker and trying to use my old ones from ver 7 and no matter what I do it just shows as a Grey box on the website.  i have even created new maps using the backgrounds offered  by Orion and saving them as new files, but when i select them in the web page, they just show a grey box.

We are using port 80.

Any ideas

And you have upgraded the modules (if any) and applied the Hotfix 1?

We have installed 8.1 on a brand new server and did not do an upgrade.  Ver 7 is still running on the old server.

Using Map maker on v8.1, I can say new map, and pick one of the Orion supplied background images from the folder and save it as an orion Map.  then when I go to the webpage and select the new map as the default, it is just a full grey box.  Yes old or new maps both display just a full grey box.  If I add text to the map, the box is still full grey, but the text will show

just to clarify - all maps (old & new) do not display correctly? have you recently upgraded?
