10.3.1 all interface added/removed

hi, have a small issue,

I'm running 10.3.1, and i have come to work today to find, all the interfaces (around 4000) have been removed and added several times over the last 12hrs, no-one has been in work to do this, so it's solarwinds doing it's self

anyone had this issue?

Hi Spiky,

Can you check if the interfaces were really removed and added again (check the historical data) or only the events were generated? Are the interfaces polled now?

I have seen similar issue before some time when one of the collector services has crashed. As a side effect the remove/add interface events were generated and the interfaces polling has stopped. To fix this just restart all Orion services.

hi, i do have gaps in my historical reports, indicating they were removed, they are being polled again, which is a good thing, else i would have to do all my maps again, and that would be a nightmare

as in the last 24 hrs it must have done it around 10-12 times as i have 50000 interfaces added and 50000 removed

maybe I'll reboot the server later today, but it's only been up 9 days, due to a planned power down recently

sadly i cant send diagnostics as it holds information i cant sent out of our goverment organisation

Generate false events for adding/removing entities from engine is caused by error on SQL connection in some very particular moment.
