Need Help Monitoring WFF for IIS.

We're having some difficulty monitoring Microsoft Web Farm Framework. We recently had a situation where the WFF cluster became unhealthy. This does not generate an event in Event Viewer.

Is there a way anyone has found in SAM to monitor various aspects of both WFF and ARR with IIS?

I haven't as yet played with WFF or ARR. Do you know where/how the health status is made available? Have you browsed the WMI Repository using WMI Explorer, or similar tool?

Nice tool, however it doesn't have anything indicating the health status like I see in the WFF console when I click on the farm. Maybe a script would do it but I don't even know where to start on that.

This will likely take a bit of research on your end to first identify where the information you're looking for is available. Looking around the interwebs I wasn't able to find anything myself, and unfortunately I don't have WFF or ARR running in my lab.

OK, my SW rep sent me a link to powershell commands for WFF.

I have written a powershell script to get me what I want, but have no idea how to get it to output something that SAM can parse and then act on.

Here is the script:

Add-PSSnapin WebFarmSnapin

Get-Server -WebFarm WebFarm1 -Address ServerA

And here is the output.

My goal is to have it send me an alert if Enabled != True and/or ReadyForLoadBalancing != True, since either will result in a state of "Unhealthy" in WFF.
