I am trying toi use the Search for Interfaces resource to search for interfaces by MAC address, but the result always comes back as "no interfaces found".
Can anyone tell me what the proper format is for the MAC address that Orion wants?
Thanks.
You can now search interfaces using MAC address.
It did not work for me with the "." in between, though. I had to remove all punctuation marks to get it to search.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

In the NCM "Find Connected Port for End Host" you can use any format, such as "001D.AF95.8C00", or "00:1D:AF:95:8C:00", "001DAF958C00". They'll all return the same results. If you aren't seeing the expected results you probably haven't setup a scheduled Network Sonar Discovery in Orion NPM yet. This feature is dependent upon topology information being in the database.
You can't search on MAC-Address using Orion NPM's "Search Nodes" resource.
Does this still hold true? Is there not a way to search interfaces by MAC addresses?
That's awesome. Where did you find the search box? I can't seem to locate it. I'm running version 10.2.
