Alright,
I have two pollers in two different datacenters. I have a third datacenter in another geographic location and VPN tunnels and firewall rules are set up to allow the two pollers to communicate to that datacenter. I have other SAM monitors set up that work just fine. I am attempting to setup a basic port monitor on a non-windows device at the 3rd datacenter location. The port monitor is set up to poll port 23. From both pollers I can open up a telnet session and hit port 23 but when I attempt to do the same in SAM it fails with the status of 'Unknown'.
Not sure why this is failing since I can establish the connection via telnet from both pollers so I know it isn't networking. Also, status 'Unknown' is pretty ambiguous as to what could be the cause. I'm running NPM 10.4 with SAM 5.2 SP1.
