.NET 3.0 & VBScript question

Hello all, we have been using Orion 8.1 and . NET 2.0 for a while, I have wanted to update to 8.5.1, but I read that the new .NET 3.0 framework does NOT Support VBScript.

The reason I am saying this is that we did a lot of customization using VBScript in our Orion 8.1. Anyway I decided to update to 8.5.1 and just re-write the code using Java Script. However after I updated I noticed that it all works!

Have I missed something here?

I think there's been some confusion. VBscript will work with .Net Frame 3.0. The two aren't related.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are these customizations in ASP classic? If so, then yes. There is some tweaking that you need to do in order to get them to work right with 8.5

I don't know what all you have done, but depending on what it is, you will likely need to modify the legacyproxy.config file in order to run the classis ASP and VBS. I'm quite familiar with it- feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

I created this because my ASP classic custom resource file stopped working after a day using 8.5.1. I believe in the log file it mentions legacy, etc.

I am not sure where to look. The log file will propbaly tell you more than me. Any help would be appreciated.
