Multiple Domains

I am using Server and Application Monitor v6.2.1 and it works really well and I have no problems when adding a new node every time I build a new server in DomainONE.com  BUT now the powers that be have put up a new second domain called DomainTWO.com, now when I try to add a new node and the server is in DomainTWO.com it fails to be located and added. Is there a place in Solarwinds SAM where I can add a second domain to communicate with and as of right now there is NOT a two way trust between domains.

You have a few different options available.

1. Try using "DomainTWO\administrator" credentials when adding the node to Orion. So long as Kerberos authentication is not required the connection should fall back to NTLM and work fine. This works for most but not all environments running multiple domains. This is not a limitation of SAM, but rather the Windows operating system. If you can't map a drive from the Orion server to one of the machines in "DomainTWO", then SAM isn't going to have any luck either.
2. Use SNMP rather than WMI. SNMP does not require Windows authentication. As such it's not dependant upon things like domain trusts and permissions.
3. Install the optional Agent on the machines in DomainTWO and monitor them that way. The agent also is not reliant upon trust relationships or Windows authentication.
