I have one single 2K8 server that I am not able to monitor windows services on. No matter what service I try to monitor, it comes back with this error:
Unexpected error occured. Invalid query
I am not using any other monitors on this machine, only windows service monitors. All other machines using the same custom built monitor template are reporting back perfectly. I have checked over the overall health of the machine in question including wmi, event logs, standard services running, all the usual stuff and cannot find anything wrong. The only thing that separates this unit from the other is that it is waiting on a reboot for windows updates. Because it is a VM host, it has to be scheduled and I can't just restart it whenever I want to. I have however checked and ensure that all windows services that SHOULD be running, ARE running.
Can anyone provide me with a bit of insight on what could cause the error message above? I have checked all the available documentation for ideas and run some searches on here, but I haven't had any luck.
