Hello all..
Sorry for my first post on here being that of requesting information. I have checked out google for some info and found myself running in circles.
What I would like to do is monitor IBM's Websphere Application Servers and deployment managers via snmp (For now, just basics, up/down, % cpu, % mem and try and capture and java.io latency; if at all.). I have been looking for Websphere MIBS, or any Websphere related snmp info, but I find myself conintually routed to redbooks for tivoli related products (tivacld, etc..). Does anyone know if Websphere exposes its MIBS? Has anyone attempted Websphere monitoring in the past with success? I came across two posts here somewhat relating to the same scenario, but gould not glean an answer I am looking for.
Websphere versions are 5.1 on Windows Server 2003 and Websphere version 6.1 on RHEL 4 bigsmp (will soon be upgrading to rhel 5). Currently, Orion is monitoring the OS' environments and doing a fine job there.
Now I am on the hunt for resources to help me make sense of the direction I need to follow to get or set up custom MIB monitoring for middleware.
Many thanks in advance for any info..
Mike
