NCM Accounts Migration Warning

So, just made the up grade to NCM 7.0 and NPM 10.2. Now I'm getting a "NCM Accounts Migration Warning" on my account. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what that means? Not seeing anything on thwack about it.

Hi csm_carras,

The reason for this warning is that during the upgrade your account already existed in Orion as a virtual user.  If you are taking advantage of AD groups, each user who logs into Orion will have a virtual account created behind the scenes to store settings. Just verify your AD group has the correct NCM Role and dismiss the warning. 

Note:  Using an individual AD account with more permissions than your AD group is not recommended as Orion NCM will not respect those additional/higher permissions.

The other rules for migrating accounts during the upgrade are as follows:

• Built-in NCM accounts ( Administrator, Engineer ect.) are added to Orion if they do not exist
• Windows NCM accounts are added to Orion if they do not exist
• If account already exists with the same name in Orion – update only the NCM Role for the account
